Understanding the reason you are buying
a property is as crucial as being able to purchase it!

Do I fully understand the project that I am interested in?

Buying an overseas property is by its very nature, location and structure very different to buying a property in the U.K.

Often the picture of the property may look enticing, but look behind that image. Theres a long way to go before that is realised. Step back and ask your self why that particular project works for you?

City centres may seem a really good place to purchase but how many new properties are being built? Is the market sustainable long term?

Holiday lets may offer a very good rental return but how will you cover the mortgage if there is a substantail void period?

Do I have a clear plan and understanding of the financial commitmet and timescale?

Normally, you will need to find about 35% of the value of the property over the build period. Some contracts will need to be signed 30-60 days after you reserve your property. If you are releasing equity from a U.K. property then have you already arranged this?

With proper planning much of the stress can be removed or reduced.
